  1. What wonderful colors on the cono flowers. I really like the C. lithopsoides, the flowers are spectacular. You really have nice plants. If I ever broke down and decided to grow a conophytum L. lithopsoides would be a nice one. Is it common in cultivation? Is seed available? I've never heard of it, but I don't keep up with conophytums very much. I don't comment much about it, but your photographs are great. They're clear and the subject is well framed. I always enjoy then.

    1. Seeds are available through the Mesemb Study Group or Mesa Garden. I do not find Conophytums as easy to raise from seed as Lithops but cuttings are easy. There has been no problem with obtaining Conophytums in the UK. Chris Rodgerson has sold cuttings and Terry Smale seedlings but it may be more difficult in the future. I did attend a talk by Terry last year which has encouraged me to try seed raising Conophytums again. Lithopsoides is close to pellucidum. I seem to have a large number of these.
