COPIAPOA

2 comments:

  1. I like copiapoas. In fact, my oldest plant from seed is Copiapoa cinerea, sown in Nov 1979. Your plant looks like C. humilis, which I called the chocolate copiapoa because of the brown body color, especially on var. esmeraldana. The flowers are really very nice, but few people grow them for their flowers. Your plant has a lot of wool at the apex which gives it a nice look. Is this a plant you have grown from seed? They're not hard from seed, just slow. Nice plant. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    1. I am not sure how I acquired this plant but it was not raised from seed. It may have been a raffle which could explain the lack of a label and not being sure of the name. I find Copiapoas are slow and some do not flower well. I am hoping the wool develops.
