  1. Hi. Do you sow all your seeds on to grit, as in the pictures above? If so, I assume you then use a spray to carry the seeds through the cracks to the soil below?

  2. I only use a thin layer of gtit in the pots where I sow the seed but yes I do spray so the seed falls between. Please see blog on 26th and 27th March 2018.

  3. I have exciting news (for me, at least). I have finally had some success with germinating Conophytum seeds! I have now got the smallest seedlings I have ever seen under glass. Really excited!

  4. That is exciting news. I had given up on Conophytums from seed as I had little success. I have sown a lot of Lithops this year but have decided to try again with Conophytums next year. Have you some photos of your seedlings? Good luck with them.

  5. I will try to take a photo tonight when I get home from work, though I would counter that they don't look like much at the moment! Can you believe that one of the seedlings, Conophytum minimum witterbegense, is from seeds I took from one of my own plants! I hope it makes it through the early tricky stage of life!

  6. Green blobs. I find seed from my own plants best. For me with Lithops the first Winter is the problem. I should probably give more heat and light.
